The Gut! Often called the second brain, seems to be a world of its own, with so many many undiscovered lands. I am not a health professional so I am not about to give unsolicited advice on how gut gummies are good for our health or their benefits. I’ll leave that to the professionals. What I can give you are some delicious ideas to include gut gummies in your diet. In my house we call these lollies not gummies. One thing is for sure they are as addictive as their lollies!

Guide

Many fruits, milks, mylks and dairy can be used to flavor the gummies. Some experimentation notes can be found here. Two delicious gummy recipe guides below with the same preparation method.

Provisions

Bananna Caramel Gummies

~ 2 Cups of Mylk or Milk

~ 1/4 Cup of Grass-Fed gelatine

~ 1/4 Cup Greek yoghurt

~ 2 Tbsp of Maple syrup

~2 Tbsp of Lemon juice (this may assist with the gummies not going brown however not guaranteed)

The maple syrup gives a caramel-like flavor to the gummies.

For a more intense caramel flavour add 2 tbsp of coconut sugar to add step 2.

Mango and Coconut Gummies

~ 2 Cups of Coconut mylk

~ 1/4 Cup of Grass-fed gelatine (if you want really bouncy gummies or want to dehydrate them double this)

~ 1/4 Cup Coconut yoghurt

~ 2 Tbsp of honey

~ 2 Tbsp of Lemon Juice (this may assist with the gummies not going brown however not guaranteed)

Preparation

Bloom the Gelatine First

  1. Line a 18cm x 28cm slice/lamington pan with compostable baking paper or a silicon baker sheet.

  2. Place the Milk or Mylk in a small saucepan and sprinkle the gelatine over the liquid.

  3. Once the gelatine has soaked up the liquid, turn the heat on low.

  4. When the gelatine is dissolved or liquified stir in the yoghurt until all melted. Set aside.

  5. In a blender, place the fruit and honey or maple syrup until smooth.

  6. Add the gelatine mix and blend again.

  7. Pour the mixture in the prepared tin.

  8. Place in the fridge until set.

  9. Cut into squares and place in a jar. Try not to eat them all at once or hide the jar in the back of the fridge for later.

The brand of gelatine that I used in this recipe was Nutra Organics from Nourished Life.
